Did you simply take that recommendation, or did you do any supplemental reading on that adaptor?Īlso, how do you know you aren't getting injection? Did you run the standard aireplay-ng injection test? I can't say that's what happened, but it could have. The tricky thing about adapters is that despite them having a model number.some vendors will switch chipsets and not even make it clear on the box. And the fact that you can see it running ifconfig (it's probably wlan1?), means it's functioning. No, I doubt highly you need to patch the driver if it was recommended by O-S.
